Meet Dr. Daniel Snider, DPT
At Daniel's Nerve Rescue, I provide prompt relief using physical therapy interventions that catalyze healing where the body needs help. Our bodies are amazing in all that they do for us, but sometimes things go awry, and it can be difficult to navigate the health care process and stay on track towards achieving your goals.
At my clinic, I think about things differently.
For many, the experience of physiotherapy is strongly weighted towards an exercise program as you recover. While this is essential for any long-term change, I know many people who exercise regularly and still struggle with pain.
We need a different paradigm, and that's what you will find at Dr. Daniel's Nerve Rescue.
When you've done stretching, resistance training, foam rolling, and changed your pillow for the 5th time but still struggle with pain, it's not from a lack of effort, inadequate rest, or aging. You need something to help your body calibrate better to life's demands.
You need to reset. It's like you have a glitch in the sensation software of your body - the nervous system. Your body and its nerves started running a pain program to allow healing, and despite being quite marvelous much of the time, it isn't always a perfect program.
I can help you reset the pain program - your nervous system. There are many ways you can do this, but I can make it much easier for you. I use needling and manual techniques that directly engage your nervous system in the problem area, helping to normalize your body's inflammation response and start feeling good again.
Healing takes time, but I can help change the way you experience the healing process by reducing pain, improving muscle and tendon function, and recalibrating the way you experience movement in your body.
My therapeutic approach is a way to get you back to and keep you doing the things you love.
What defines Dr. Daniel's Nerve Rescue
physical therapy?
You don't need a big problem to benefit from physical therapy. My approach is designed for someone who wants to address an ongoing pain problem in 2-4 sessions. We figure out what is going on, alleviate neuromuscular dysfunctions, and next thing you know -
you are back in action.
To address pain/dysfunction, I use a multimethod approach centering around two primary aims:
1) Calming the nervous system in the area of primary pain or discomfort
2) Phasing in therapeutic exercise to improve function
The majority of time in the beginning of treatment will center around the first aim using some of the treatments listed below. As your pain resolves, we can focus more on ways to increase your participation with a desired activity.
